The Holidays Act 2003 introduced the requirement for employers to provide employees with a minimum of four weeks paid annual holidays for each 12 months employment alongside a requirement to calculate their annual holiday pay for those holidays in a particular manner.
Employers are not permitted to pay "basic" pay during holidays – and the employer must carry out two calculations on each occasion that annual holidays are paid to ensure compliance with the Act.
This Holiday Pay Calculator will work through the correct annual holiday pay calculation with guidance and help notes at each stage to ensure you enter the correct information to produce the correct result.
